Career Pathway Training Information

The state legislature has not approved a budget for the 2009–10 school year. Once the legislature approves the budget and the Phase III sites are approved by the state board of education, Phase III sites will be announced. The next state board meeting is May 15.
Additionally, Phase I and II districts have submitted a request to implement pathway courses. The announcement of accepted Phase I and II Pathways will be announced after the legislature approves the budget and the state board of education approves the selection. The next state board meeting is May 15.
Training Information
Summer training will be available for 2007-2008 Pilot Site vocational teachers who are implementing a new Career Pathway during the 2008-2009 school year. Information related to the proposed summer training can be found below.
Housing Accomodations
Participants are responsible for their own travel accommodations. Please find
below a listing of suggested housing for your stay in Starkville.
Registration Information
Each pilot site district has selected a Redesign contact person. This person is responsible for ensuring that all vocational teachers are registered for the appropriate Methods training. Vocational teachers are to direct registration questions to their district's Redesign contact person.
Summer Training Information
Summer training will be available for Phase l and Phase ll vocational teachers who are implementing Year l and/or Year ll Career Pathways during the 2009-2010 school year.
Redesign Pathway sites will soon be requested to send a list of teachers who need to be trained during the summer of 2009. Please check this webpage frequently for the latest information.
